- Berent Hougen purchases a house as a family residence on Second Avenue across from the Whitehorse General Hospital where the Y.T.G. building is now located.
- Sid Poulton is elected President of the Yukon Ski Runners. Rolf Hougen is elected a member of the Ski Runner’s Committee.
- The Mile Post 0 marker is erected in 1946 on the main street of Dawson Creek, BC. The town is officially recognized as the beginning of the Alaska Highway.
- Bill Emery, former pilot of White Pass and Yukon Route Air, is appointed the Yukon’s Mining Recorder
- A dog team leaves Whitehorse to mush to Winnipeg.
