Lounge on the Klondike

When the road was opened to Mayo, the effect on the river boats was devastating. Rather than ship the Keno Hill silver ore by boat, they now trucked it to Whitehorse and then by White Pass Rail to Skagway. This photo of the lounge on the Klondike was part of the remodeling of the boat by White Pass and Canadian Pacific air to develop a tourist trip to Dawson City and back.
